Game based on 2015 hit Mad Max: Fury Road coming soon

Australian gaming supplier Aristocrat has partnered Warner Bros Consumer Products to develop a new slot based on the hit action film Mad Max: Fury Road.

The game will debut at the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas in October, and is being developed for Aristocrat’s Edge X cabinet.

It will feature some of the film’s most popular characters, including Mad Max, Imperator Furiosa and villain Immortan Joe. Released in 2015 and starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, the film was an unexpected critical and commercial hit, with global box office takings of $378.4m.

"Warner Bros. Consumer Products has been a longtime partner and our customers have been big fans of all the game themes we've collaborated on to create,” Aristocrat senior vice president of marketing and gaming operations Siobhan Lane said. “Now we're very pleased to announce the newest game inspired by the thrill and excitement of 'Mad Max: Fury Road' for our customers and their players.”

Aristocrat has collaborated with Warner Bros Consumer Products on a number of other branded titles, including an upcoming slot based on TV series Westworld. It has already launched titles based on popular shows and films including The Big Bang Theory, Dumb & Dumber and the 1960s Batman TV series.
