Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in North Carolina has become the first casino in the US to specify Apex Gaming’s iDROPe for its live table games.

Located at the base of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Harrah’s Cherokee offers a wide range of slots and live games.

The casino’s operations are now supported by iDROPe from Apex. The award-winning cash handling solution for live tables allows customers to exchange their ticket or cash directly at the table for chips.

“They will no longer need to go to the cash desk to do this,” explained Ron Hager, director of table games at Harrah’s Cherokee. “And when they wish to cash out, they can receive the value of their chips on a ticket printed by the iDROPe.

The intuitive integrated touchscreen makes it simple for the dealer to use the iDROPe. The operator has complete information of each and every ticket and bill entered into the unit.

“The iDROPe is a key solution within the Apex product range,” Kubilay Özer, global sales director for Apex Gaming, told TotallyGaming.com. “It not only underlines how important the table game business is to Apex gaming, it also shows that we are taking gaming to the ‘next level’ by introducing a solution based on our fundamental market research.

“In essence, we have brought something completely new to the market that has a number of benefits – for the player, the croupier and the operator alike. It is this win-win-win basis that makes the iDROPe so unique and a real must for innovative casino operators.”

Totally Gaming says: Apex’s innovative iDROPe solution provides an added level of convenience for casino players, as they no longer need to visit the cash desk for chips. This, of course, is a boon for operators, as it translates to additional time at the table and added casino revenues – all of which is backed by the supplier’s industry-leading security protocols.
