Interim CFO James Pizey to move to group financial controller position as a result

Rank Group has appointed William Floydd as its chief financial officer, with the former Experian executive to join the operator on November 12th.

Floydd joins to replace Clive Jennings, who stood down as CFO on August 17th after 18 years with the company. Since his departure, James Pizey has been serving as interim finance chief, and will move to the role of group financial controller once Floydd begins work.

Floydd most recently served as CFO for consumer credit reporting agency Experian’s UK and Irish region, holding the role from 2013 until April this year.

During his tenure Floydd helped deliver strong growth in revenue and earnings before interest and tax, Rank said, as well as overseeing its authorisation process with the UK Financial Conduct Authority. He was also involved in a number of M&A projects, including the acquisition of HD Decisions and an investment in London & County Mortgages.

Before joining Experian Floydd spent 12 years at IT and management consultancy Logica, before its acquisition by CGI Group, leading a turnaround of its UK business and overseeing a revamp of its global finance function. He has also worked for Capita and PWC.

"I am pleased that Bill has agreed to join Rank at this exciting time in the company's journey,” Rank chief executive John O’Reilly said of Floydd’s appointment. “There is much to be done to deliver our transformational programme and I am confident that Bill is the right person to assist me and the leadership team in delivering a growing business that is fit for the future.

"I would also like to take this opportunity, on behalf of the Board, to thank James Pizey for stepping into the CFO role on an interim basis whilst we conducted the search for a permanent CFO."
