Paddy McGuinness will hope to bring a younger audience to the online bingo site

Jackpotjoy has announced that Paddy McGuinness will succeed Barbara Windsor as its new brand ambassador.

The online bingo operator’s campaigns are to feature the comedian and television presenter, which sees him receiving a final endorsement from the ‘Queen of Bingo’.

Adam Trainis, head of brand for Jackpotjoy, told TotallyGaming.com: “Having Paddy on board as our new brand ambassador is fantastic. Jackpotjoy is a fun and entertaining brand, and Paddy has an engaging personality that sits well with our audience.

“Barbara has been a great ambassador for Jackpotjoy as the ‘Queen of Bingo’, and as you can see in the advert it’s an emotional moment for Paddy to take over from a legend like her.

“It’s now time for his majesty to take his seat on the throne, so we’re looking forward to enjoying his successful reign.”

The first advert of the new integrated campaign, which will build through a series of online and TV content, aired on Thursday 14th September, and features Paddy decorating his home with royal themed merchandise as he celebrates his seal of approval.

Speaking about his new role, Mr McGuinness commented: “What a thrill to be Jackpotjoy’s new royal ambassador and be a part of this fantastic campaign.

“Bingo is in my blood.  My mum used to work in the local bingo halls around Bolton and it’s a game that this country loves. As you’ll see in the advert, it was an emotional moment for me to receive the final endorsement from the legendary Barbra Windsor.”
