William Hill strikes New Jersey Devils partnership

William Hill has partnered the National Hockey League’s New Jersey Devils and its stadium the Prudential Centre, in a first-of-its-kind partnership in the state. 

The partnership will see the operator launch the William Hill Sports Lounge in the Prudential cEntre, featuring more than 20 digital screens showcasing sport from around the world, as well as the latest odds and markets. 

The lounge is to be open for every Devils home games, as well as all concerts held at the arena.

William Hill’s branding will also feature on in-arena signage, while league-wide odds will be displayed on the scoreboard at each of the team’s home games. 

The operator will also sponsor fan watch parties for Devils games at the Monmouth Park racetrack, as well as being featured on the team’s radio channels, and through its social media.

"We are thrilled to partner with the New Jersey Devils and Prudential Center," said William Hill US chief executive Joe Asher said. "With three retail William Hill sportsbooks and our mobile betting app now available in the Garden State, engaging New Jersey sports fans is extremely important for us. 

“This partnership provides us with a number of fantastic opportunities to connect directly with the passionate supporters of New Jersey's hockey team."

Both the team and the stadium are owned by Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment, a conglomerate that also owns basketball team the Philadelphia 76ers and English Premier League club Crystal Palace.

Harris Blitzer president Hugh Weber said that in William Hill, the company had found a partner that shares its dedication to New Jersey.

"As the No. 8-ranked arena in the world and in light of the New Jersey Devils' international roster and fanbase, it was only natural that our first partner in this dynamic new category be a trusted, international brand like William Hill,” he said.
