Betradar continues to grow its footprint across high-growth African markets, following the signing of a new deal with Nigerian operator, Surebet247.

One of the country’s leading sports betting operators, Surebet247, has adopted Betradar’s suite of virtual gaming products to increase footfall across its retail stores.

Surebet247 operates from over 4,000 locations across Nigeria. The company now offers Betradar’s full suite of virtual football products, and will also work with the supplier on new initiatives as a follow up to the launch.

“Surebet247 has a dedicated satellite channel for Betradar virtual football, which is broadcasting the events to the shops,” Neale Deeley, managing director of Betradar’s gaming division, told

“We have integrated into their bet management system so punters across their estate can place their bets with the cashier in the same way they do for real sports.”

Discussing the growth of the sector across the continent, Deeley said: “Virtual football is hugely popular in Africa, especially in retail where it is not uncommon for shops to have more money staked on virtual football than on real football.”

Sheriff Olaniyan, CEO of Surebet247, added: “We have been closely monitoring the growing success of virtual sports, and have evaluated all the products available to operators in Africa.

“Betradar has been able to deliver the product to suit the African market, based on popular demand.”

Betradar virtual sports are now live across more than 30 operator estates across Africa, and the sector’s growth is also being reflected in other territories.

“We have had a great 12 months in virtual,” Deeley stated. “This time last year we launched a Euros version of virtual football, which played out a full Euros competition every 80 minutes. Take-up from operators and punters was excellent.

“We also went live with over 50 operators from all parts of the world, including the likes of SBObet, Betsson, Coral, Marathonbet and Pinnacle taking us past the 150 operators live with the products.”

Totally Gaming says: Nigeria remains a crucial market for virtual gaming, and the addition of Betradar’s suite of products to more than 4,000 Surebet247 retail stores underlines the nation’s growing appetite for high-tech betting products.
