Perry Tam, the chief executive and co-founder of Storm8, has told that the recent appointment of two former Zynga executives will help the company to achieve its goal of developing the industry’s largest mobile game network.

Tim LeTourneau and Steve Parkis will join the mobile social gaming company in the newly-created roles of chief creative officer and president of games and network, respectively.

During their time at Zynga, both LeTourneau and Parkis formed part of a team that oversaw the development and production of the highly successful FarmVille and Zynga Poker franchises.

“From day one, Storm8's mobile-first, network approach to developing a diversified set of games has differentiated us from the competition,” Tam (pictured) told

“The expansion of our executive team underscores our commitment to this mission and further accelerating Storm8's trajectory.

“Having the leadership and collective 30 years of experience of Tim and Steve accelerates our ability to build the largest mobile game network and delight an even broader set of gamers.”

The double appointment comes after Storm8 in June also named Zynga’s former head of acquisitions, Terence Fung, as its new chief strategy officer.
