Supplier launches with three partners in two key states

SBTech has launched its sportsbook solution for casino partners in Mississippi and New Jersey, with its technology now live across five venues with three operators.

The supplier has rolled out its services for the Golden Nugget venues in Atlantic City, New Jersey and Biloxi, Mississippi. A second New Jersey partner, the Resorts Casino Hotel, has also launched, while two Churchill Downs-operated casinos in Mississippi are also now taking bets using SBTech solutions.

The on-property technology includes the first full self-service betting terminals to launch in the US, as well as comprehensive event and market coverage. This is supported by unique features such as Parlay Boost, which increases payouts on parlay bets.

SBTech has also rolled out cashier systems, its Chameleon360 iGaming platform, as well as TV screen management systems for its clients. Each will be able to offer bespoke pricing, benefit from tailored trading strategies, use non-pooled risk management solutions and automated features.

The company secured a licence to offer manufacture and distribute sports betting solutions in Mississippi last month. It is now live the Harlow’s Casino Resort and Spa in Greenvile, and at the Riverwalk Casino Hotel in Vicksburg, both of which are owned by Churchill Downs, a partner of the supplier since May this year. The agreement, which also covers New Jersey and Pennsylvania, sees SBTech power the operator’s BetAmerica sports betting brand.

"We are delighted with the launch and the superior technology and product offering our kiosks deliver,” Churchill Downs president of online gaming Ian Williams said. “Our players have really taken to the range of markets offered and the ease of use of the wagering machines.”

Golden Nugget is the only partner active in both states. Its senior vice president and general manager of online gaming Thomas Winter said he was “thrilled” to be offering bets in each state.

“SBTech technology is undoubtedly the most advanced and innovative that bettors will find in New Jersey and Mississippi,” he said. “It allows us to provide patrons with a state-of-the-art sports betting experience, never before seen in the US. Innovative kiosks allow bettors to choose between thousands of in-running betting opportunities, after the games have started.

“Innovative features such as true-odds parlays with a bonus boost and early Cash Out have already proven very popular among sport fans and we look forward to taking the excitement online in New Jersey,” Winter added.

In New Jersey SBTech has been awarded a transactional waiver by the state Department of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), allowing it to launch its services for its two existing partners.

Resorts Casino chief executive Mark Giannantonio commented: ”Resorts is very excited about the start of the football season as we have created an amazing destination experience for our customers to come to Atlantic City and enjoy a full slate of NCAA and NFL football markets to bet on.

“Our goal is to establish Resorts as the home for New Jersey players who want to enjoy the best gaming experience with access to the latest sports betting technology, including our state-of-the-art self-service betting kiosks."

SBTech chief executive Richard Carter said he was delighted to have successfully launched with three partners in two states.

“We deployed with our people on the ground to work closely with our partners and the regulators. I would like to thank the teams at the DGE and Mississippi Gaming Commission (MGC) for all of their hard work and support,” he said. “We are fully focused on working with our partners to build the best product for the US market and support their growth.
