The Championships will be held on the first weekend of November

Racing UK will show the Breeders’ Cup World Championships live from Del Mar, California this November, in a special free-to-air broadcast.

The leading horseracing broadcaster has agreed a new partnership with the annual North American series that will see the event, held on 3-4 November, screened in HD on Sky 432.

The coverage includes all four Championship races on the Friday, and nine Championship races on the Saturday.

Racing UK’s Seb Vance told "The Breeders' Cup is one of the showpiece racing fixtures of the year with a host of top-class European horses flying out to take on the world's best at Del Mar, California.

"We've struck up a strong relationship with Breeders' Cup over the last year or so, having supported the event with broadcast, digital and archive promotion, and we're delighted to see the partnership extend to live coverage.

"We will incorporate the NBC feed into our studio presentation and, of course, the event will be in glorious HD, and supported by extensive multi-media coverage across our digital platforms.

"Racing UK is best-known for showing the best of British racing from 37 racecourses in the UK, but we also support the domestic coverage with regular top-class racing from France, Dubai and Hong Kong, in addition to quality stand-alone events from the US, Canada, Qatar, Switzerland, Japan, South Africa and Australia, amongst others. We are now delighted that Breeders' Cup is part of that portfolio."

Totally Gaming says: The deal struck between Racing UK and the Breeders’ Cup enabling next month’s Championships to be shown on Sky is one that both parties will be delighted with. The two-day event continues to be one of the most globally renowned horseracing tournaments, so it seems fitting that it will be broadcasted on one of Britain’s leading horseracing channels.
