Playtech BGT Sports (PBS) is to continue its “digitisation of the retail space” with the unveiling of its MatchAcca tool, available to use on its self service betting terminals (SSBTs).

Putting customers in control to create their own bet combinations, the tool allows the selection of several incidents within the same match, such as team to score first and over 3.5 goals, without waiting for trader approval,

The offering is available for punters to utilise in the climax to the football season, and ahead of the World Cup showpiece this summer.

Through an exclusive agreement with AlgoSport, who provide detailed algorithms allowing the combining of incidents almost instantaneously, it’s hoped the success of the PBS' bet request functionality can be built upon.

John Pettit, Managing Director for the UK, Ireland, Asia, and Australia at PBS, told “MatchAcca is revolutionary for the retail space. We’ve seen the success of similar products online, and used our digital product expertise to create a viable alternative for the retail shop customer.

“It’s capable of driving player engagement through more flexible and personalised betting options, which we believe will deliver a superior experience to customers using our SSBTs.

“On the back of this, we expect operators to see enhanced margins, as is the case with the majority of our terminal products.

“Our software is proven in encouraging customers to include more selections on their bet slips via its intuitive design while also providing players with an engaging experience.”

Before detailing how important it was to capitalise on football’s biggest event: “The World Cup consistently breaks turnover records and remains a key indicator of the health of the wider sports betting industry and of individual operators.

“New products are key to driving this extra revenue, so launching MatchAcca in good time for this year’s event will be a great opportunity to showcase our product to the new customers that the World Cup inevitably attracts, whilst also enhancing the betting experience for existing high street bettors.

“Our recent success has been testament to the methods in which we’ve delivered the best of online betting to the retail space.

“MatchAcca will allow our partners to showcase their commitment to providing the customer with the latest technology and ultimate betting experience.”

Totally Gaming says: Allowing the combining of a multitude of incidents within the same match, and much more crucially in a quick and timely manner, could very well appeal to both punters and operators. By releasing the tool when they have, PBS will hope its popularity can build on the wave of a regular season climax before international football takes centre stage this summer.
