Pixel.bet announce premium mobile brand to serve gaming fans

The burgeoning world of eSports is to see a new specialist betting platform launched courtesy of pixel.bet.

Currently live in beta mode, the firm states that the ‘tens of millions’ of eSports fans will now be able to place wagers across a number of markets covering full tournaments, matches and individual games and maps across their favourite games and events.

Games such as Dota 2, Counter Strike and League of Legends are to be ‘comprehensively’ featured on the mobile first platform, as well as tournaments including ESL One, War Gaming League and StarLadder.

Richard Smith, CEO of Pixel.bet, has been speaking to TotallyGaming.com addressing the launch: “The pixel.bet brand was created with a vision to provide a super fast simple, clean mobile focused platform for eSports fans to bet on their favorite games. By focusing just on eSports we have been able to create a much better user experience in our product for the eSports fan.

“Also we are able to focus on innovations around our core eSports product, meaning better odds, more betting opportunities and tailored eSports promotions for the players on pixel.bet.

“Finally we talk the same language as gamers, we hope this makes us stand out in our communication, service and brand to our customers.”

With eSports proving to be a rapidly expanding market, Smith also explained the potential he believes this betting sector holds: “It’s huge! People seem quick to dismiss it in traditional betting circles as a niche without really understanding the potential. The industry needs to understand that it's still early days, as the fundamentals of odds, data, streaming, betting content all need work to aggregate them more efficiently.

“The data you can get in eSports is getting better and better and the gameplay really lends itself to live betting. Audiences watching eSports are skyrocketing with a highly passionate, engaged fanbase - the betting sector can compliment this and provide further entertainment and excitement, when watching and betting on a live game - hopefully on your mobile at pixel.bet.”

Adding on what 2018 could specifically hold for pixel.bet: “We are just live, but as we control our own technology we can innovate and innovate fast. We have ambitious plans to bring new types of live betting markets to the industry, improved designs and functionality to the site, and continue our focus on the mobile experience which is such a huge opportunity.

“However our DNA is to focus on the things that matter to our players, listen to them and work tirelessly on the basics to make sure our players benefit from a great betting experience.”

Pixel.bet will initially be launched in European Union countries, but later plans to expand to markets across the world.

Totally Gaming says: eSports is undoubtedly undergoing exponential growth, with pixel.bet believing its ‘founded by eSports lovers for eSports lovers’ mantra puts it in the best place from which to capitalise. With an emphasis also placed on players benefit, as Smith states, they could well be onto a winning formula.
