Deal sees league name Uruguay's Supermatch as official gaming partner

The US National Basketball Association (NBA) has signed up Uruguayan sports betting operator Supermatch as its first official gaming partner in the country. 

The deal with Supermatch, which is the Uruguay national lottery’s sports betting brand, will be promoted in more than 6,000 retail locations throughout the country. 

Both partners will also carry one another’s branding on their websites, as well as via the NBA’s official app and the NBA Latin America social media platforms. 

“Supermatch is the exclusive authorized gaming operator in Uruguay, and our new partnership will offer more ways for our passionate fans to connect and experience the excitement of our game,” said NBA vice president and managing director of Latin America Arnon de Mello.

Supermatch also gains the right to use official NBA data and branding across its land-based and online sports betting offering.

“We are thrilled to be the first official gaming partner of the NBA in Latin America,” Roberto Palermo, president of Uruguayan national lottery La Banca, said.  

“Through this new partnership, our clients will not only continue to enjoy our gaming offers, but they will also get even closer to the action with the chance to win NBA prizes and unique NBA experiences.”
