Agreement follows extensive tender process

Kambi has been lauding another significant deal for the firm, after Romanian operator Stanleybet chose the betting platform and software providers to power its sportsbook across both retail and online.

Operating over 300 shops, as well as holding a growing online presence, the agreement follows an extensive tender process with Stanleybet treading carefully to select “a trusted partner.”

Max Meltzer, chief commercial officer of Kambi, spoke to TotallyGaming.com explaining the significance of this latest agreement: “Stanleybet Romania is a significant deal for Kambi for a number of reasons. Firstly, Stanleybet Romania are one of the major players in the Romanian market, and one that other suppliers were eager to work with, so the fact they’ve decided to join the Kambi network speaks volumes.

“They have an existing and loyal customer base who will soon have access to the best sports betting experience on the market, both in retail and online.

“Stanleybet Romania has more than 300 retail shops across the country which, in addition to our other multi-channel partners such as our 18 PlayCity casinos in Mexico, gives us another perfect platform to prove how advanced our multi-channel product is compared to the market.”

An online integration and migration is due to take place in the coming weeks, ensuring Stanleybet is well placed to capitalise on this summer’s World Cup.

Following the online upgrade Stanleybet will launch Kambi's retail solution, with the roll out the expected to begin in H2 2019.

Meltzer added: “In addition, with Kambi already active in Romania with other operators, it illustrates the differentiation capabilities of our platform, which among many other differentiators is the ability to manage the frontend via our APIs.

“However, perhaps the most important element of the deal was the fact that Stanleybet Romania has a vision for success which marries well with Kambi’s own ambitions, solutions and skillset.

“The agreement also marks the 10th consecutive quarter in which Kambi has signed at least one new customer and follows on from the signing of Casumo last month - so two very different customers demonstrating the flexibility of our Sportsbook.”

Totally Gaming says: This agreement marks a significant coup for Kambi, builds upon other recent deals struck and marks the tenth consecutive quarter in which they have signed at least one new customer. Stanleybet also ensures it is well placed to take advantage of football’s biggest showpiece, which is only a matter of weeks away.
