Real Madrid join Barcelona as partners of the DFS operator

Mondogoal has added Real Madrid to its list of partners, which also includes the Spanish club’s rivals Barcelona.

Under the terms of the deal, the daily fantasy football platform will be able to use official Real Madrid images and assets to “create and promote a team-branded experience for fans worldwide”.

As well as Barcelona, Mondogoal already has partnerships in place with English Premier League teams Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

“Passionate Real Madrid fans will now be able to compete amongst each other for cash and prizes,” said Shergul Arshad, Mondogoal founder and chief executive. “We’re looking forward to seeing the power of the Real Madrid global brand at work for Mondogoal.”

Mondogoal added Real Madrid to its portfolio just weeks after rival DraftKings, which recently launched in the UK, agreed partnerships with its first major European football clubs, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Rafael De Los Santos, head of digital at Real Madrid, added: “Mondogoal represents a unique platform for Real Madrid fans around the world to compete and show off their skills as managers.

“Our fan base can now select players from different competitions and compete for prizes on a daily basis.”
