Horseracing and sports betting service to be offered via Rapid Games

Metric Gaming is aiming to reap the reward of a much changing sports betting landscape within the USA, after announcing a new partnership to offer a turnkey sports betting solution to the market.

Joining forces with Nektan, a fully integrated horseracing and sports betting service is to be offered through the Rapid Games platform from Respin LLC, a US operating subsidiary of Nektan.

Martin de Knijff, CEO at Metric, told TotallyGaming.com: “The principle reason that we established Metric Gaming in Las Vegas back in 2012, was that we believed there was at least a 50% chance that sports betting in the US would be legalized within 5 years, with a 90% chance that it would come about within 10 years.

“In the intervening years, we have maintained our US pedigree and base in Las Vegas, building both our expertise in US sports and our portfolio of patented innovative products, but at the same time we have expanded into Europe, building a strong trading and operational base headquartered in London, UK, where we have recruited experienced industry veterans to build a scalable B2B sports betting business, adding mainstream proprietary content to our already innovative approach.

“Metric are now uniquely placed to be a real B2B partner to any business looking to enter the new and exciting prospect of a US market, using the pedigree and expertise built on both sides of the Atlantic.”

Through the integration to Rapid Games, it is detailed that the solution will bring a second screen experience to any device on the casino floor including self service terminals, interactive tables and video screens.

Nektan’s Rapid Games, a server based gaming solution offering casino content, instant win and virtual sports games on any device, is the US casino gaming industry's only independently certified Class II and Class III on-premises mobile platform.

Totally Gaming says: The opportunities presented by the US Supreme Court judgement have been long detailed, both in the build up and the aftermath. With de Knijff stating the such a judgement was the principle reason of Metric’s establishment, it could be argued that the pressure is now on to get the next steps right and capitalise fully.
