Inspired targets North America with new virtual sports deal

Inspired Gaming Group has struck its first virtual sports deal in North America as part of an effort to exploit the region’s fledgling market.

The company has brokered a deal for Spin Games to distribute its virtual sports products into North America, with Inspired’s chief commercial officer, Steve Rogers, stating that the aim of the agreement is to replicated the success the firm has achieved in the UK and across Europe.

Inspired products will be deployed through Spin Games’ ‘The Roc’ HTML5 RGS, which provides various gaming content for digital gaming channels. The deal includes the full suite of Inspired’s virtual sports, such as ‘Rush Horse Racing’ and ‘Rush Football’.

“We have seen a rapid growth in demand for virtual sports in the UK and Europe in recent years, and I am confident that their popularity will be equalled in the USA,” Rogers said. “The combination of our best in class technology, and Spin Games’ distribution channel is a fantastic proposition for operators, and we anticipate a long and successful working partnership.”

Kent Young, chief executive and president of Spin Games, was also optimistic about the new deal, saying that the North American virtual sports market is yet to really be exploited.

Young added: “Currently, virtual sports in the UK and Europe is a significantly expanding business which has been very well accepted by operators and players alike. The virtual sports market in North America is yet to be exploited and Spin believes the partnership is a further step in our strategy and positioning as market leader in RGS technology and content.” says: “With North America’s virtual sports market yet to be really tested, this launch could prove to be a very shrewd move by Inspired. The company will have an edge over the competition by entering the region earlier, and also has a strong launch partner in Spin Games.”
