IGT seals sports betting partnership with Mississippi tribe

International Game Technology (IGT) is powering the launch of sports betting at a number of tribal casinos through an agreement with the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
The deal sees IGT provide the tribe with its PlayShot sports betting solution for the Silver Star Hotel & Casino in Choctaw, Mississippi, as well as its Bok Homa Casino in Sandersville. It already works with the tribe’s gaming arm, Pearl River Resorts, and powered the launch of sports betting at its Golden Moon Hotel & Casino, the first non-Nevada tribal casino to open a sportsbook.
The supplier’s technology will power pre-match and in-play wagering at the three casinos, with IGT kiosks and other peripherals to be added in future.
"IGT's leading entry into the tribal gaming sports betting space demonstrates how a wide variety of casino operators can benefit from our flexible, market-ready PlayShot sports betting solution, today," said Enrico Drago, senior vice president of IGT’s PlayDigital subsidiary.
"With IGT PlayDigital's technology and expertise, the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians introduced sports betting to players with confidence, knowing that PlayShot is already the trusted sports betting platform provider at more than 15 US casinos across multiple states.”
