Grant named as GameAccount’s new head of legal

GameAccount Network has appointed Tom Grant to a newly-created role as the online gaming systems and software provider’s head of legal.

Grant served as senior legal counsel at the Rank Group before joining top gaming law company Harris Hagan as a partner.

He has started his role at GameAccount with immediate effect.

“GameAccount is a company that I know extremely well and one which has an exciting vision for the future of online gaming,” Grant (pictured) said.

“I am delighted to be part of what is a dynamic, entrepreneurial company and look forward to the many exciting opportunities and challenges which lie ahead.”

GameAccount chief executive Dermot Smurfit added: “Tom has directly advised GameAccount on a number of matters in the past and combines an in-depth knowledge of the online gaming legislative landscape globally and familiarity with the GameAccount business, its culture and its people."

Smurfit added that the appointment has come at a crucial stage of expansion for GameAccount.

“This is a very positive appointment as we continue to expand our influence on the world stage and through our Simulated Gaming solution enable casino operators to effectively lift their casino floor and represent it online, with all of the associated benefits of increase patron visitation on-property and the generation of meaningful levels of new income from an online channel," Smurfit added.
