William Hill to take charge of sports betting at all Golden Entertainment properties in Nevada

William Hill will now manage all race and sports operations in Nevada, Maryland and Montana for casino operator Golden Entertainment, after the companies expanded their existing partnership.

Currently William Hill operates the race and sportsbook at Golden Entertainment’s Pahrump Nugget Hotel & Gambling Hall in Nevada, as well as deposit kiosks at 80 taverns and third-party distributed gaming locations throughout the state.

Following the expansion of the partnership, William Hill is to take charge of wagering operations at the Stratosphere Casino, Hotel & Tower, Arizona Charlie’s Decatur and Arizona Charlie’s Boulder in Las Vegas, as well as the Aquarius Casino Resort in Laughlin, Nevada.

William Hill also operates the race and sportsbooks at the Laughlin-based Edgewater and Colorado Belle resorts, and will continue to do once Golden Entertainment completes the acquisition of the venues from Marnell Gaming. It will also roll out an additional 20 mobile deposit kiosks across the operator’s tavern and distributed gaming location estate.

The companies will also pursue sports wagering opportunities in Montana, where Golden Entertainment operates 300 distributed gaming locations, and in Maryland, through the Rocky Gap Casino Resort. In each case, the launch is dependent on legislation being passed.

“We are excited to expand our current relationship with William Hill, which has a proven sports wagering platform not only in Nevada but around the world,” Golden Entertainment chief operating officer Steve Arcana said. “We look forward to growing our business in Nevada and other jurisdictions through this partnership.”

William Hill US chief executive Joe Asher said that his company has had an “excellent” relationship with Golden Entertainment since entering the US market.

“We look forward to continuing it for many years to come in Nevada and elsewhere as opportunities arise.”

William Hill is expected to take charge of the additional Nevada and race and sportsbooks by December this year, subject to regulatory approval.
