FansBet has recognised that loyalty to a sport or team has often gone unrewarded through its commitment to sharing 50% of profits to good causes chosen by fan groups.

The network, founded by match going football fans, has grown over the last twelve months to nearly one hundred fan sites, including Manchester United’s Redarmybet and Liverpool’s Redsbet.

FansBet partners with supporters to distribute the profits from its fan-based betting sites to specific causes, using accredited and respected committees to decide where to best utilise the money.

During the registration phase, new account holders are asked to identify the club they support, while they can nominate a specific trust or supporter group to be the beneficiary of funds.

On a quarterly basis, the accrued net profit is communicated to the relevant groups, who then have the empowerment to use those funds to make a difference in areas that matter most.

Steve Armstrong, CEO of FansBet, told “We have committed to sharing 50% of net profit with established fan groups who partner with us to be used for causes that matter to them the most. We recognise that sometimes a person’s loyalty to a sport or a team they love can go unrewarded and we want to give them a chance to feel differently.

“Whether the cause be ownership, tickets, travel or something more diverse or community based we want to give our fan partners the opportunity to make a difference and feel good about doing so.”

Speaking about the evolution of the fan sites, which are powered by open gaming platform provider Finnplay, Armstrong added: “We are working hard to provide an attractive product that meets all the expectations of people who like a bet.

“The same applies to our approach regarding value and special offers. We are aiming to ensure that loyalty is always the winner where the player is concerned and want to deliver that in a manner that is perfectly balanced with our commitment to responsible gambling.”

Totally Gaming says: Just a few weeks ago, Finnplay expanded a deal to deliver betting entertainment for British football fans through sites operated by the FansBet network. The partnership has enabled FansBet, a company fully committed to supporter-driven causes, to offer the array of gaming products that today’s football and sports fans demand.
