Latvia has extended its so-called ‘blacklist’ of gambling websites that are not allowed to operate in the country by adding the names of several operators, including Betclic, Digibet, Gala Coral and Interwetten.

Gala Coral’s Coral.co.uk, Galabingo.com and Galacasino.com websites, Betclic.com, Digibet.com and Interwetten.com are among 22 sites that have been added.

The blacklist has grown considerably in recent weeks, with a total of 144 sites now listed. The IAUI, the Latvian Lotteries and Gambling Supervision Inspection, has updated the blacklist five times since the start of August, when the country’s new Electronic Communications Law came into force.

Other websites to have been added to the blacklist this week include Alibabacasino.com, 21nova.com, Maria.com, LV.unibet-3.com, Betatcasino.com, Cherrycasino.com, Kingplayer.com, Superlenny.com, Betin.com, Maxcasino.com, Greencasino.com, Crystalcasino.com, Icecasino.com, Neoplay.com, 24hcasino.com and 24hpoker.com.

Websites to have been added to the list already include 32red.com, SkyBet.com, MrGreen.com, WilliamHill.com, Ladbrokes.com, Fulltilt.eu, Pokerstars.net, PartyPoker.com, Betfred.com, Sportingbet.com, Bet-at-home.com, Mybet.com, Bet365.com, Bwin.com, Betfair.com, Betsson.com, Unibet.com, Betway.com and 888.com.

In May, the IAUI signed an agreement with the gambling regulators in Latvia’s neighbouring Baltic states of Lithuania and Estonia to cover the “sharing or exchange of good practices in the field of supervision and control of the organisation of lotteries and gambling”.
