British boxing is a strong sponsorship option for gaming operators

32Red has expressed its delight at sponsoring this weekend’s Tony Bellew world title bout, and welcomed the opportunity to reach an engaged audience on 32Red.com throughout the entire fight week.

In May, Everton fan Bellew climbed off the canvas at Goodison Park to land a knockout punch on Ilunga Makubu in the third round and become WBC Cruiserweight king. This Saturday, he puts his title on the line against American BJ Flores in Liverpool, who will be contesting his second world title fight.

Gerry Murray, Director of Brand & Acquisition at 32Red, told TotallyGaming.com: “Following the success of last week’s Ricky Burns show in Glasgow, we are delighted to be partnering with Matchroom Boxing once again to sponsor the Liverpool show headlined by Tony Bellew.

“The profile of British boxing keeps getting bigger and bigger, and it’s exciting for us as a brand to be associated with that success by sponsoring two World title shows on consecutive weekends.

“The popularity and success of Matchroom’s events mean that we can reach an engaged and relevant audience all week through the build-up, and then consistently across 5 hours of live action on Saturday evening. That’s an opportunity that not many sports can offer to a business such as ourselves.”

There’s also a great card in support of the main fight, as Luke Campbell MBE defends his WBC Silver Lightweight title against local favourite Derry Mathews, and Belfast star Ryan Burnett defends his British Bantamweight title against Liverpool’s Ryan Farrag.

Totally Gaming says: 32Red is hoping for another great night after sponsoring Ricky Burns’ successful WBA super-lightweight title defence in Glasgow last weekend. As the profile of British boxing continues to grow with the likes of Burns and Bellew, 32Red can take advantage of its brand association to reach a wider audience and engage players for an entire evening of boxing.
