The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement has reported a 24.1% increase in total gaming gaming revenue for the month of August, including a $9.2m contribution from sports betting.
The Atlantic City land based and online casino industries had a month of contrasting fortunes in February, with an overall total gaming win decline of 6.5% to $192m reported, compared to $205.3m for the same period in 2017.
New Jersey voters could be asked whether to allow the state’s first casinos outside of Atlantic City in a referendum in November 2016.
