Watch two UK teams battle it out at the Betradar Esports Invitational

Monday, January 30, 2017

With every operator, supplier and betting focused company clamouring for attention at ICE it can be a challenge to stand out and ensure people stop at your booth.

It pays to get creative. And that’s just what Sportradar are doing this year with the ‘Betradar Esports Invitational’. This will see two UK teams in the form of Impulse and Endpoint take each other on in CounterStrike: Global Offensive.

The two teams will have just completed a three day bootcamp courtesy of ESL UK and so should provide attendees with some top level CS:GO. Betradar has also roped in veteran esports analyst Paul ‘ReDeYe’ Chaloner to host the event.

Chaloner told us: “I'll be hosting a live demonstration of Sportradar’s new CSGO live betting solution created in collaboration with Dojo Madness. Should prove very interesting to the industry.”

Alex Inglot, Director of Communications at Sportradar, added: “The Invitational, a head to head between two leading UK teams, will be punctuated by the inimitable commentary and input of ReDeYe, who needs no introduction to anyone who has been to pretty much any significant esports event around the world. It should make for a great atmosphere to experience, understand and learn more about esports and esports betting.”

Sportradar teamed up with Jens Hilgers’ DOJO Madness, a multi-faceted company which collects and interprets esports data, last year in order to create a comprehensive product for live odds on esports tournaments both online and offline.

Of the partnership, Hilgers told Esports Insider at the time: “The negotiations lasted about 1.5 years but we’ve emerged with a great partnership that makes great commercial sense for both parties and has an initial term of 8 years.”

Anybody that is interested in learning more about the potential of esports betting, be it live or otherwise, should make a note to stop by the Sportradar stand (S1-150) during ICE. The live invitational will be taking place on both Tuesday and Wednesday at 11am and 2pm each day.

Totally Gaming says: The partnership between Betradar and DOJO Madness means that they are extremely well placed to offer esports betting services. Jens Hilgers is a true esports veteran who has been involved since 1997 and founded the ESL.
