David Boda, Camelot, on balancing player protection and customer experience

David Boda, Camelot's Group Head of Information Security, noted today how hard it is to balance protecting players from fraud with giving them a good customer experience.

“It’s a really difficult trade-off to make, to make sure players both have a nice journey through your platform and actually buy your games but equally that you’re doing the right thing from an ethical and regulatory point of view.”

On trends for 2018, Boda pinpointed insider threats as a growing issue and machine learning as a way to combat fraud. We are also going to see an increase in people taking out cyber-insurance, he said.
