Elmqvist confident of continuing success

Fredrik Elmqvist, the chief executive of Yggdrasil Gaming, has said he is confident that the company can recreate the success it has enjoyed across Europe in the UK market following the launch of its full suite of products in the country.

Yggdrasil has been operational in the UK on a limited basis some time now, and already has content deals in place with LeoVegas, Mr Green, Unibet, Vera&John, ComeOn and Betsson.

The company is now aiming to build on this success by opening up more services to clients in the market, launching its proprietary iSENSE 2.0 platform as well as its full portfolio of games.

Elmqvist has admitted that although the UK market is competitive and there are lots of other developers already established in the market, he is remains confident that Yggdrasil can succeed.

“We’ve had a very encouraging start given that we only received our licence at the end of last year, and are already live with some operators,” Elmqvist said. “The UK marketplace is the most competitive in Europe, but we have a track record of succeeding in every market we enter, and I am confident our industry-leading platform and games will allow us to repeat the trick there.”

TotallyGaming.com says:

Elmqvist is right on the mark when he talks about the competitive nature of the UK, with plenty of other games developers already comfortably established in the market. However, Yggdrasil will be boosted by its partnerships with major brands such as Mr Green and LeoVegas, both of which are popular destinations for consumers in the UK. Should these relationships succeed and prosper, there is a good chance Yggdrasil's games could appear on more online gaming sites in the market.
