Mr Green is hoping to launch an online casino in Italy in the second quarter of this year after the Scandinavian operator sealed a deal to take over MyBet Italia. Italian gaming regulator AAMS has to ratify Mr Green as the new licensee in order for the deal to be approved, but the acquisition will be completed through existing cash assets. “It is the group’s strategy to conduct operations in several regulated markets and to strive to increase the portfolio’s share of revenue from regulated markets to significant levels over the next few years,” Mr Green CEO Mikael Pawlo said...

Amaya Gaming-owned online gambling company Intertain Group is in advanced talks to acquire C$1bn (€710m) worth of assets from an undisclosed company. The deal is subject to approvals from the boards of directors at the selling company and Intertain. Recent reports have linked Intertain with Gibraltar-based operator Gamesys, which operates JackpotJoy and Heart Bingo...

Tabcorp subsidiary Sky Racing has secured a 10-year broadcast rights deal with the horse racing authorities in the Australian states of New South Wales and Victoria, bringing to an end a dispute that led to the Australian betting company losing the rights for the races to interim joint venture TVN in December...

Interwetten reported a huge 64-per-cent increase in net income to €7.4m for 2014 due to a sharp increase in mobile activity for the online gaming operator. Gross gaming revenue for the year also jumped by 18 per cent to €46.3m while betting turnover grew by 15 per cent to €800m. The company said that it is targeting further growth in the Spanish, German and Austrian markets...

Newly-introduced filters from Internet Service Providers could block some UK customers from accessing gambling websites. Galea, the founder and principal consultant of Random Consulting, received the accolade in appreciation of his “outstanding performance and lasting contribution to New Jersey’s Internet gaming initiative” and his “dedication to the Division of Gaming Enforcement.” DGE director David Rebuck said: “New Jersey could not have implemented iGaming without Mario’s assistance.”
