‘Speed’ of innovations crucial to new Mr Green technology chief

Niclas Enhörning, the newly-appointed chief executive of Swedish gaming operator Mr Green’s technology division, believes that the speed at which companies can push new products to the market will be a key differentiator in the future.

It was recently confirmed that Enhörning will begin his role at Mr Green & Co Technology next month after leaving his position as development manager of e-commerce company Klarna.

“I think speed will be important – the ability to get new things out to the market quickly,” he told TotallyGaming.com.

“To have the best technology that allows high speed and flexibility when adding features or new products will be very important.”

Mr Green announced this week that it had enhanced its mobile service usability by expanding a partnership with Jumio, integrating payment systems and Netverify identification software to enable registered customers to use webcams or camera phones to gain quicker access to the company’s services.

Such developments will be a priority moving forward, with Mr Green chief executive officer Mikael Pawlo saying recently that investing in “product development, particularly for mobile utilisation” will be one of the company’s priorities.

“I believe that the distinction between desktop and mobile is shrinking,” Enhörning added.

“Now we need to build for different screen sizes. Most products need to work on many different devices, like desktop, tablet, mobile or whatever else could come along.

“Having said that, we will focus on delivering products that not only work on these devices, but also are really good.”
