Boiling down the EiG Expo into easily digestible figures

15 - This will be the 15th iteration of the EiG Expo, one of the online sector's longest running conferences. During the years it has been held in Nice, Barcelona, Milan, and Copenhagen before arriving at its current home in Berlin, where it has been since 2014.

3 - There will be three main conference streams at this year’s EiG. These are all part of the space ‘Forging pathways to the future’ theme; there’s ‘Interstellar: 2026’ which is focused on the industry’s future, ‘Mission Control: 2016’ focused on the now and building a platform to prepare for these changes, and there’s ‘Capsule’ which will include sessions to “micro-analyse, through interactive discussions, case studies and examine some of the more specific and technical challenges you’re facing today”.

5 - Start-ups shortlisted to pitch in this year’s EiG Start Up Launchpad. They are 1SpinMillionaire, Black Cow Technology, PVP.ME, GamingBattleGround and Glück Games. Unsurprisingly esports is a big theme this year and two of the contenders, GamingBattleGround and PVP.ME, are esports focused. The former is a platform which allows operators to organise their own esports tournaments online, whilst the latter is a video game betting exchange.

All will present their companies on the final day; Thursday, 20 October at 11:00-12:30. Former finalists and winners include Casino VR, Fresh8 Gaming and Colossus Bets.

2000 - There are up to 2000 attendees expected at this year’s EiG in Berlin 18 - 20 October. The 2015 was record breaking; there were 83 countries represented – a huge increase of more than a third on the 2014 total of 61. EiG 2015 also clocked in a final tally of 1,669 people marked a 13.3% rise on last year.

1 - For the first time there’ll be a customised slot game developed specifically for this year’s EiG. This is in partnership with Endorphina, and there are a range of prizes to be won including an Access All Areas 2017 pass for ICE, a 3 month free trial of Endorphina games, space food and more.

21 - There are a notable 21 media partners signed up to this year’s event which should mean it gets maximum coverage and once again beats its attendance record. These include SBC News, EGR, iGaming Business, Gambling Insider and more.

45 - Percentage of attendees at Director, Board, C-Level or VP level. In addition 49% of attendees are suppliers whilst 30% are operators including big names such as Ladbrokes, Coral, bet365, BetVictor, Paddy Power Betfair and plenty more.
