Per Eriksson said NetEnt will "act on market opportunities"

NetEnt chief executive Per Eriksson wants his company to establish itself as a market leader in the US after going live in New Jersey.

The digital gaming solutions provider has made its first games available through Borgata’s online casino after receiving a transactional waiver to begin offering its services in the US state earlier in September.

NetEnt will initially deliver a selection of multichannel games, and will expand its offering and also launch with Bwin.party – with which it also has a waiver, pending a full licence - in the coming weeks.

“We’ve focused on establishing our footprint in North America and our goal was set to be live during the second half of this year,” said Eriksson. “I’m very pleased that we have delivered on our promise, and excited to follow and act on market opportunities going forward.”

Björn Krantz, managing director of NetEnt Americas, recently told TotallyGaming.com that the company wants to build its presence in the US and raise standards in New Jersey’s online gaming sector.

Krantz said: “We are pioneers within the field of digital casino gaming solutions and we see our North American operation over the long run. If we are not there, then nothing will happen for us.

“With our 20 years of experience, I strongly believe that our business intelligence, level of innovation and creativity in everything we do will be rewarded with success in North America.”
