Better Collective's Thomas Høgenhaven has vowed that despite being “very happy with the overall organic user growth” of SmartBets, the brand won't be resting on its laurels when it comes to its continued future expansion.

Chief Strategy Officer for Better Collective Thomas Høgenhaven has vowed that despite being “very happy with the overall organic user growth” of SmartBets, the brand won't be resting on its laurels when it comes to its continued future expansion.

The growth of SmartBets has seen a 496 per cent rise during 2017. Høgenhaven explained:  “Continuing our success is key and we have aspirations to add to our ‘Best Innovation’ gongs picked up at the SBC Awards and iGB Affiliate Awards.”

The intention of SmartBets is to grow into new markets with a wider variety of products, something for which Høgenhaven told TotallyGaming.com that its platform is suited perfectly: “With the type of scalable platform we have, it’s easy to launch new markets and be adaptable, so the addition of horse racing is just the first of many in the pipeline.”

Høgenhaven went onto emphasise the importance of its customer opinion:  “Feedback from our consumers is taken very seriously, so based on the comments, we have reworked the bet slip to make it much simpler to bet directly through SmartBets, which is something we’ll be heavily pushing over the next few months.”

Høgenhaven credits the positive developments of the site with switching to a service-based architecture. Which has already allowed them to introduce, bettingexpert tips onto SmartBets.  Høgenhaven stated that the new architecture “makes it much easier to integrate our different products, we’re reaping the benefits of making the leap”.

SmartBets also made it clear that it is aiming to enhance its relationship with bookmakers: “We are also scaling up co-operation with bookmakers to give them more advertising, and in turn, aim for both new and existing users to place more bets.”
