The Mexican casino has signed a deal with AGS

One of the largest licensed land based casinos in Mexico, Big Bola, has made the leap to online via a deal with the AutoGameSYS (AGS) gaming platform.

Big Bola is a major stakeholder in the regulated gaming market in Mexico but it has yet to have any online presence. The AGS platform will bring it into 2017 with over 2,000 games from a range of content providers, a sports betting platform with over 20,000 events monthly and live video streaming of a number of events to boot. AGS has considerable expertise in the flourishing LATAM market specifically.

Speaking to Totally Gaming, Diego Mourglia, CTO of AGS, stated: “Our partners and founders have 20 years’ experience of working in the LATAM gaming market, initially with land based Casino and Bingo management systems (CMS) and eventually integrating the CMS to online gaming platforms.

“Throughout this period, we have developed a complete understanding of the requirements needed to flourish in the region, including integrations to locals CMSs used by land operations. Localisation is vital and we make sure we provide payment processing solutions, currencies and content like Patagonia’s Video Bingo offering to meet demand in the market. Having a thorough understanding of regulatory procedures like tax and licensing means our clients have peace of mind to concentrate on company operations.  AGS prides itself on putting our clients in the best possible position for success. This is achieved by sharing and offering expert intelligence to support the migration from land-based to online in their native language.”

He added: “Mexico is a regulated market with a tradition of well-established land based casinos and there is huge potential to be realised as they look to provide an online solution with AGS.“

There has been much hype around the Latin America market in the recent past when it comes to all things online gaming. José Antonio Rodríguez Borgio, Vice President of Big Bola commented: “We are very excited with this project. For us it is a very important step to achieve new horizons, growing from land based casinos to the internet! We are glad to make this happen under a solid and reliable platform as AGS.”

On the potential of the region specifically, Mourglia said: “LATAM is a market with significant promise.

“Sources estimate the market being worth between 3 to 6 billion euros and growth of 10% year-on-year. It’s irrefutable that the market is of considerable size and the regional regulations must adapt accordingly. Over the next five years we are confident most of LATAM will have land and online gaming regulation in place. Our ongoing mission is ensuring we are well positioned to be the leading certified provider of gaming platforms for regulated markets.“

Totally Gaming says: The LATAM is showing definite promise and more operators and suppliers are flocking there, so this is an ideal time for Big Bola to add to its offering and move online.
