Sporting Index has continued its expansion plans by launching its casino product via mobile and tablet.

The company, which has been an industry leader in sports spread betting for almost a quarter of a century, began offering slots and table games on desktop in March, but has now rolled out its product to handheld devices.

Sporting Index described the move as a “strategic launch”, which has been timed to coincide with increased traffic experienced during Euro 2016.

The company, which will initially offer games from suppliers NetEnt and Microgaming, said it intends to expand its content catalogue in the months to come.

“The launch of our desktop casino products has seen a good response and we can’t wait to give our mobile and tablets users the same maximum excitement,” said Paul Turner, head of Sporting Index. “The European Championships have brought a huge increase in traffic to Sporting Index and we believe our casino products are the perfect complement to sit alongside our best-in-class spread betting offering.”

TotallyGaming.com says: “Sporting Index is moving into unknown territory, with its first ever non-sport mobile offering. It is yet more evidence of operators expanding and the industry converging.”
