Imperus Technologies to snap up DiWip

Imperus Technologies Corp has struck a deal to acquire social games developer DiWip in an agreement that could potentially be worth up to $100m (€78m).

Imperus, a specialist in social networking, mobile and real-money gaming that was, up until a recent rebrand, known as ISIS LAB, will acquire the entire capital share of DiWip.

Under the purchase agreement, Imperus will retain DiWip’s entire senior management team in additions to its founder and employee base.

Although the closing purchase price of the deal amounts to $50m, additional earn-out payments of up to $50m will be made depending on whether DiWip reaches certain closing financial targets.

In a statement confirming the deal, Imperus said that the acquisition of DiWip would provide it with immediate access to the US and a number of other major markets as the social game developer is currently active in about 220 countries.

The acquisition remains subject to a number of conditions and approvals.
