Genii’s Spin16 offering has proved popular

Nick Barr, sales director at Genii, has opened up to TotallyGaming.com about the early success of the gaming technology provider’s new Spin16 product line, with the video slot having attracted the attentions of various operators just weeks after its initial launch.

Unveiled last month, Genii promised plenty of innovation from Spin16, stating that the new product line would offer something new in the video slot sector. Players are able to interact with the reels and spin them in various directions, which is something Genii says existing products on the market cannot offer.

Despite having only been available since mid-May, two operators have already opted to sign up. Continental, which operates the Casinodukes.co.uk website, and Eastern Europe-focused Unis have launched Spin16 on their various platforms.

Speaking to TotallyGaming.com about the early sign-ups, Barr said that Genii is pleased with the feedback it has received and it is confident of securing deals with other operators in the near future.

“There hasn’t been much true innovation in the slots sector for years and Spin16 is something genuinely different when it comes to the way people play and interact with slots,” Barr said.

“Spin16 gives operators the chance to stand out from the crowd and offers their players a unique and engaging experience. It has also been designed particularly with the smart phone generation in mind and that has been appealing for operators.

“It’s been a busy month since launching Spin16 and we’ve been really pleased with the reaction and feedback from key players in the industry.

“We’re in final discussions with a number of the industry’s leading operators and expect a few announcements to be made in the coming weeks.

“We feel there is a need for new casino innovation which will change the way people play slots and, moving forward, players are going to demand this type of product in the future.”
