Can mobile unlock the potential of social betting?

EveryFan has undertaken a comprehensive redesign of its player lobby, as the company seeks to provide a social betting app with a more intuitive user experience, and the propensity to drive up sign-ups heading into a busy winter of football.

This includes a tab feature designed to ensure quick access to the 40 betting markets available on the iOS edition of the app, clearer differentiation between the popular markets such as half time, corners, bookings and goals, and a tournament screen which makes it easier than ever to create tournaments.

Leon Walters, chief executive officer for EveryFan, told TotallyGaming.com: “We’ve redesigned the lobby to make it easier to clearly see all of the fantastic features that EveryFan offers. As new players learn more about the game, they need to be just a click away from the information they want to see, whether that’s a specific match, markets, tournament type or their own profile.

“EveryFan is all about social betting and it’s now easier to navigate to the app messenger where players share their experiences with their friends and other players, swapping tips and a bit of friendly banter. We’re learning more about how people are using the app all the time. The redesign, new tabs, and double-stake sign-up offer are all ways that we’re delivering what players want.”

EveryFan is a social betting app, launched in the summer of 2016, which the company hopes delivers a brand new concept in mobile sports betting. The app allows fans to bet against their mates both pre-game and in-play for the chance to win big prize pools.

Walters added: “This is an exciting update to the EveryFan experience which will make it even more attractive to players. There are now more markets than ever, a more intuitive UX and an enticing offer which will drive up the rate of sign-ups heading into a busy winter of football.

“EveryFan has already experienced strong growth since launch, and we’re continuing to develop the app to make sure we build on our success still further.”

Totally Gaming says: The social betting market usually throws up at least one new P2P betting offer at the start of every football season, but the challenge of getting enough liquidity in order to offer attractive prizes is usually far too steep. However the opportunities provided by the ever increasing reach of social media gives the concept more chance than in the past.
