Captain Up looks to improve user retention after award win

Uri Admon wants operators to put greater focus on rewarding loyalty

Uri Admon, chief executive of Captain Up, said that his company is “very honoured and excited” to win the prestigious Operator Challenge award at ICE Totally Gaming’s Cross-Platform & Multi-Channel Gaming conference.

Captain Up, a next generation loyalty programme platform for online operators, was selected as the winner from a short-list of five at London’s ExCeL Centre.

Captain Up already works with the likes of Ladbrokes and 888, and now wants to build on its success by helping operators to improve retention among players through rewards.

“We are very honoured and excited as this means recognition from the industry,” said Admon. “It is the first time we have entered, and it was a privilege to present our solution to such a prestigious crowd in London.”

The Operator Challenge gave competitors the opportunity to offer a solution to one of three challenges, which were related to personalisation, consistent customer experience and provision of intuitive mobile interface.

The expert panel included Pascal Brouet, innovation director at Betclic Everest Group, Cianan Clancy, global innovation strategy manager at Paddy Power and Ciara NicLiam, head of casino and games at Rank Group.

Admon said: “We are proud of our product, which is an engagement platform through which we take care of user lifetime value. It is a next generation loyalty scheme, which brings social and behavioural economics into online gaming.

“In effect this is social gaming meets real money. Through our product, users are rewarded for being loyal through clicks and activities, rather than deposits.

“Users appreciate the rewards and explore, and we encourage them to find new games. Operators spend so much on acquiring customers, we have produced a platform that focuses on retention.”
