Big Fish partnering with Betable for iPhone casino launch

US gaming developer Big Fish Games announced it is partnering with London-based Betable to launch iPhone app. Big Fish Casino, with real-money betting, in the UK. Under terms of the agreement, Betable will process bets through the programme.

Paul Thelen, CEO of Big Fish, called gaming through the iStore "a very lucrative opportunity," while Christopher Griffin, chief executive officer of Betable, called iPhones "the biggest opportunity that game developers have had since the advent of the Internet.”

According to Juniper Research, Mobile gamblers will wager $100bn annually on the devices by 2017, up from about $20bn last year, causing developers to increase efforts to supply the growing market trend. Big Fish was created in 2002, and had revenue of more than $180m in 2011.
