Long-term InComm partnership sealed

Scientific Games has strengthened its business in North America by teaming up with InComm to launch new lottery gift card products to the market.

The agreement with InComm, a specialist in prepaid products, will run for five years.

The partnership will allow Scientific Games to reach customers via distribution channels such as general merchandise stores and pharmacy chains.

For the first time, the deal will allow US retailers to sell lottery gift cards with traditional gift cards.

The InComm partnership marks the second such long-term agreement in as many weeks for Scientific Games. Last week, the company signed a six-year deal to provide an instant game Cooperative Services Program to German lottery operator Land Brandenburg Lotto.

Scientific Games’ senior vice-president of North American lottery systems, Pat McHugh, said that the agreement with InComm would allow his company to leverage “state-of-the-art solutions, technology and product innovation to create a new lottery experience consumers will enjoy”.

Brooks Smith, president and chief executive of InComm, added: “Our collaboration provides us the opportunity to deliver innovative and secure payment options that help consumers and increase the reach of lotteries supporting worthy causes throughout North America.”
