Scientific Games has a new President and Chief Operating Officer in the form of Karin-Joyce Tjon.

KJ's responsibilities will include oversight of the  gaming and lottery operations and driving the Company's organizational strategy, business development and fiscal discipline.

Scientific Games' Chief Executive Officer Kevin Sheehan said of the news: "We have tremendous confidence in KJ's ability to lead our long-term growth strategy and execution, and continue the strong growth across all of our businesses. Her deep experience in international finance, performance accountability, and culture transformation will further enhance our ability to deliver for our customers, employees and our shareholders."

In a dual piece of big news for the company this week it was also revealed that Missouri Lottery has extended its Instant Games licence.

The instant games created by Scientific Games help us ensure continued growth in profits to the state of Missouri.

“We are confident that our My Lottery Players Club developed by Scientific Games has contributed to our success in recent years, and we look forward to building upon the popularity of our players club."

Scientific Games works with the Missouri Lottery team to bring the entertainment of instant games to its players, and has helped grow instant games by 25% between 2011 and 2016 with titles including $300,000,000 Golden Ticket, $100 Million Cash Bonanza and 50X the Cash.

John Schulz, Senior Vice President of Instant Products for Scientific Games, said: "We've worked hard alongside the Missouri Lottery as they have built an incredibly loyal fan base  by continually evolving their brand and their game offering. This contract extension represents the Lottery's confidence in our products and services to help the Lottery provide further growth in the years ahead. We are excited to continue the great work we have delivered with our instant game products and full loyalty program to help drive profits for the state of Missouri."

Totally Gaming says: Tjon comes with a commendable C.V. in CFO positions in a number of industries and Scientific will no doubt benefit from her extensive experience. The extension of the Missouri Lottery deal meanwhile is big business for the company.
