Following its continued growth across global markets, Novomatic Lottery Solutions (NLS) recently announced some key changes to senior management positions.

A subsidiary of Austrian gaming giant, Novomatic AG, NLS is a prominent full solution alternative vendor for international lottery markets. At the core of its operation is a modern, open, secure and flexible engine that can run at almost 1.5 million transactions per minute.

NLS is currently enjoying growth around the world, with the company recently signing long-term contractual agreements with Greek lottery group, Opap, and Estonian lottery, Eesti.

As the group looks to bolster its ongoing global success, NLS has appointed Sabina Berloffa as chief marketing officer. Berloffa brings more than 20 years of marketing and executive management experience in leading start-ups and multinational companies.

In addition, Johann Gisli Sigurdsson, previously NLS’ director of business development, has been named as chief operating officer, while Manual Bauer, who joined NLS as director of research and development in 2016, has taken on the role of chief technology officer.

Finally, Jakob Rothwangl has assumed the role of chief financial officer. He comes to NLS from Novomatic Americas where he successfully held the position of CFO since 2012, before which he was Novomatic AG’s head of group M&A.

“NLS’ success has demonstrated that the market is buying in to our primary message: Expect Better,” said NLS CEO Frank Cecchini. “Deploying modern technology, modern processes and a completely new approach to harmonising sales channels has won new customers and sent our competitors scrambling to catch up.”

He added: “As we make the transition from being a small start-up consisting of very smart engineers to a compact and agile organisation able to deliver state-of-the-art products focused on addressing the needs of the industry, I am very confident that the changes and additions we have made will help us to continue to win new customers and help them meet the challenges posed by the future.”

Totally Gaming says: While NLS’ technology continues to set the standard for the rest to follow, these new appointments will help the company to both win new customers and ensure its existing clients receive the best possible support.
