Intralot won the $60m contract

It has been revealed that INTRALOT Inc. has been selected by the Idaho Lottery as the Apparent Successful Vendor, after an open and highly competitive bidding process to provide Lottery Gaming System services for the Idaho Lottery.

The contract is for a minimum ten year period, beginning October 1, 2017, through September 30, 2027, with an option to extend for up to a maximum of two additional five-year terms.

Idaho Lottery Director Jeff Anderson commented: “This decision allows us the opportunity to improve our technology, provide quality services to our players and retailers, and continue protecting the security and integrity of our games here in the Gem State. There has been a tremendous amount of work and research done by all the parties involved during the process.

"I express my sincere gratitude to the members of the evaluation team for their conscientious work that resulted in this recommendation and to our valued industry colleagues who all seriously came to the table to earn Idaho’s business.”

The contract value for the initial term is estimated at $60m and provides for a secure central gaming system capable of delivering, managing, and accounting for all current in-state and multi-state Draw Games, inventory control and logistics for the full complement of Scratch Games, and other related services. The company's victory wasn't too great a surprise as INTRALOT has been supplying the Idaho Lottery with Gaming systems services since 2007.

Nikos Nikolakopoulos, Interim CEO of INTRALOT Inc. and INTRALOT Group COO, stated: “We are happy and honoured to have submitted the most competitive offer and to have the opportunity to continue to provide our services to our valued client. Since our first awarded contract, we have had excellent and productive cooperation with the lottery team.

"We are looking forward to building further on our experience and our trusted relation by means of an enhanced products and services offering that meets the modern era needs of the Idaho Lottery and helps our client generate stronger returns for the Good Causes it supports while promoting and serving the principles of Responsible Gaming.”

Totally Gaming says: This is a major contract, with the potential for a twenty year term in the terms and a reported minimum of $60m in value, Intralot has won itself a highly lucrative deal.
