Partnership with Corredor Empresarial expands role in growing market

The momentum building in Colombia, and the wider Latin American market in general, has been illustrated by Inspired Gaming brokering a partnership with Corredor Empresarial, the country’s national lottery.

Inspired will provide Corredor Empresarial with a range of its virtual sports titles, which are now live in markets worldwide. The games will be deployed across thousands of venues and will go live by the end of the year.

Titles that will be made available to punters in Colombia include ‘Rush Football 2’, ‘Rush Horses’ and ‘Rush Motor Racing’.

Inspired will also work with Corredor Empresarial to launch a selection of number games, while all titles will be adapted for use in the country.

“This exclusive deal is demonstrative of our commitment and leadership in the Colombian market,” Steve Rogers, chief commercial officer of digital games at Inspired, said.

“We have made significant investment into this market to develop a bespoke, customised solution that we are confident will entertain, excite and delight players, whilst driving incremental revenues for Corredor Empresarial.”

Last year, TotallyGaming.com asked Rogers about Inspired Gaming's growing portfolion of virtual sports title. Click here to read the interview.

Attendees at ICE Totally Gaming in London earlier this month heard how now is the ideal time to explore opportunities in Colombia and Latin America.

At a seminar dedicated to Latin America, legal experts and regulators gave detailed accounts about what it takes to succeed in breaking into the continent.

In a country that is set to grow in population to 51 million by the end of this decade, in parallel with an expanding GDP per capita, the opportunities in Colombia are obvious.

About 400 companies currently operate just over 2,500 venues in the country, and industry operator Coljuegos said that an initial bill to regulate online gambling that was passed in July 2015 will adapt over time, but has provided “a framework for operators so they can work with this” for the time being.

Juegos Miami, a new event concept dedicated to the business needs of the Pan-Latin American and Caribbean gaming industry, will take place from May 31 to June 3 at The Biltmore, Coral Gables in Miami, US.

The event has the support of CIBELAE (Latin American Corporation of State Lottery and Betting), ALEA (Lottery, Pool and Casino Association), Provincial Lotteries & Casinos Institute, ECA (European Casino Association) and ACCJ (Chile Casino Association).
