The gambling and iGaming industry can be a boisterous bunch at the best of times. There’s no place better to rant and ramble than in the realm of Twitter where every week a variety of topics tend to attract the attention of those in and around the industry.

This week has been somewhat quiet with no particular topic particularly encapsulating the whole industry. Instead, there’s a variety of topics being discussed and knowledge being shared. Be it talking about transfers ahead of the new Premier League season, or hotdog eating contests, it’s all covered this week. There has been a fair bit of discussion around gambling in the US. Will Green, Senior Director of Research at the American Gaming Association tweeted the following, outlining the momentum and progress that’s being made across the country:

Chris Grove, Industry analyst, shares the news that online poker, specifically in NJ, has fallen to an all time low point. Not looking good for the New Jersey market:

It seems that Thomas Lemar, the Monaco midfielder may be on the move to North London. Apparently Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are both interested parties and will battle it out for his signing. The geniuses over at Betway harnessed the opportunity to run a poll, including a 50/50 pun taken from one of the esteemed artists smash hits:

There would be no justice in the world if Pinnacle didn’t make the cut for a cracking hotdog pun. Having priced up the market for “Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest”, the bookmaker tweeted their guide to picking a “weiner”. Bravo.
