A breakdown of some of the more interesting figures to emerge from the gambling industry in the past seven days.

£13.9 million - The total purchase price paid by Catena Media as it expands it sports betting segment further with the acquisition of Bettingpro.com and its related affiliate assets. Bettingpro.com is a publisher of sports news, tips and betting advice across a number of different verticals with a focus on acquiring leads for regulated UK and Australian iGaming partners. The USP of Bettingpro is it publishes quality content written by experienced journalists across a variety of different domains. £11.9 million will be paid upon completion of the transaction, with £2 million to be paid six months afterwards as long as the handover of assets is successful.

$250,000 - The prize money available for the Counter-Strike Global Offensive esports tournament ESL One Cologne. Betway has been announced as the tournament’s Official Betting Partner. The move will see Betway’s live odds appear on the broadcast which will inevitably be watched by upwards of 100,000 on the english language Twitch stream alone. Betway already sponsor popular team Ninjas in Pyjamas who are also in Cologne to compete following a recent spate of poor results.

£3 million - The amount invested by Sky Betting and Gaming into 34 new roles in its Leeds-based Data Tribe. The company will hire a new head of Data, Head of Tech, Head of Marketing Tech, two Group Platform Managers, two Marketing Technology Product Owners, four Technologists, 10 Customer Relationship Managers and a new marketing team to support 13 further technologist roles. It shows Sky Betting and Gaming’s emphasis on the innovative use of data.

66 - The number of countries in which Kompli-Global has compliance experts -- covering 158 regions. The company has developed a tool to help companies deal with the more time-consuming customer due diligence challenges of the new 4th Anti-Money Laundering Directive (4th AMLD). The artificial intelligence tool, Kompli-IQ has been developed to provide a baseline check for companies looking to bolster anti-money laundering efforts.

3 - The amount of years for which Maltese online operator Royal Panda has signed a sponsorship deal with Queens Park Rangers football club. The partnership will see the Royal Panda logo featured as the primary sponsor on the team’s kits. It will allow Royal Panda to offer its users a unique sports betting experience, with up to 30,000 live events per month. There will also be a number of matchless betting offers available throughout the season on the Royal Panda site.
