The country's leading casino dealers will meet at ICE to compete for the right to represent the UK at the 9th Annual European Casino Association Dealer Championship, taking place at Slovenia's Hit Casino Park, Nova Gorica on May 12-13.

The National Casino Forum-organised competition to select the UK finalist will start at 11am on Wednesday, February 4 and is being held in a special competition area adjacent to the stand of event sponsors TCSJOHNHUXLEY (S5-250).

Competitors will be judged across a range of key disciplines including hospitality, control of the game, and technical skills in both American Roulette and Blackjack. There will also be a series of 'side events' to determine the Best Chipper, Best Card Handler, Best Mathematician as well as those judged to be most proficient at Cutting Chips and Pushing Stacks.

The successful UK candidate will go forward to test their skills against the best in Europe, including the ECA's 2014 European Champion Lars Mikkelsen from Casino Copenhagen, Denmark and two-time runner-up Amir Ben Said of Finland.

ICE portfolio director Kate Chambers said: "It's entirely fitting that the UK leg of this fabulous international competition should take place at the world's most international gaming event. The European Casino Association and the National Casino Forum are great allies of the exhibition and have both made major contributions to its development over the years. Bringing the UK Dealer Championship to ExCeL is a major honour and one which adds prestige to the ICE brand."
