Mattia Luchesini has been named the 2015 European Dealer Champion

Mattia Luchesini, who won the UK heat of the European Dealer Championship hosted by the NCF at ICE Totally Gaming in February, has gone on to be crowned as the overall winner of the 2015 competition.

Luchesini, who works at Crown Aspinalls in Mayfair, London, overcame his rivals from across the continent at the finals of the ninth edition of the European Casino Association’s prestigious Championship.

Luchesini emerged triumphant from a selection of 30 of the best casino dealers from 16 European countries at Park Casinò & Hotel in Nova Gorica, Slovenia.

Having topped the list of 14 competitors at ICE Totally Gaming in February, Luchesini demonstrated his outstanding skills at the Blackjack and American Roulette tables at the finals hosted by Hit Casinos earlier this month.

In Slovenia, Luchesini edged ahead of Ted Bakker (Netherlands) in second place, followed by Jannick Nielsen (Denmark) in third, Wesley Sturgess (Sweden) in fourth, Markus Thanner (Austria) in fifth and Chung To Coong (Switzerland) in sixth.

The winners  of the side events were Daniel Celofiga (Slovenia) for the best card handler, Jelena Kulikova (Latvia) for the best cutting chips, Dina Kasparane (Latvia) for the best roulette chipping, Oliver Bateman (Belgium) for the best roulette mathematics and Agnieszka Pasek (Poland) for the best pushing stacks.
