The eight contenders for both awards have been announced

Building on the success of the last two years, two Game to Watch competitions have been scheduled in 2016 to showcase the most innovative games recently developed and being launched to the gaming market.

Submissions were accepted until December 2015 and then reviewed by the judges representing operators who looked at factors such as metrics, distribution channels, platforms games operate on, key features and level of innovation. Eight games have been selected, with four developed by more established developers and the other four by Indie developers.

The established games category includes: SnapBet by Fenway Games, Colossus Fracpot by Core Gaming, Virtual In-play Tennis by Leap Gaming and Satoshi’s Secret by Endorphina. They will be judged at the event by Yariv Lavi, Director, Business Development, 888 Holdings, Conor Leavey, eGaming Customer Proposition Manager, Paddy Power, Mark Clohessy, Casino and Games Product Manager, Betclic and George Zaloom, CEO, Las Vegas Whaling Company.

The category of less known and start-up developers will feature MillionQuiz by ThumsApp Oy, The Heist by Gamevy, Mega Money Rush by Skillzzgaming and Ride ‘N’ Win by The Art of Games, who will be quizzed live by Ofir Gal-Mor, Casino & Games Product Group Manager, 888 Holdings, Hans Elias, Head of Games Studios, Gamesys, Karolina Pelc, Head of Casino, LeoVegas Mobile Gaming Group and Axel Gutschenreiter, Independent Game Designer.

A representative of each game developer will have five minutes each to present their game. Judges will comment live and then vote, together with the audience, for the winner, who will be announced on the same day at the conference.

Both competitions are part of the agenda of the Game Design & Development conference taking place on Wednesday, 3 February at ICE Totally Gaming at ExCeL in London. To register click here
