Games developer Euro Games Technology (EGT) has described itself as ‘proud’ to be partnering Belarussian operator Winbet after supplying the company with new machines for its casino in Minsk.

Boyko Boev, director of EGT Belarus, told TotallyGaming.com: “We are proud to have installed over 150 EGT machines in the two gaming halls of Winbet in Belarus. The operator opened its first gaming establishment in the country in 2014 in the city of Gomel and it soon had a positive effect on the local tourism industry, attracting many Russian visitors.

“The other Winbet casino is in Minsk and it is most favoured by the local players, winning also the first prize in Molnia M017 competition. Its luxurious interior, entertainment program and equipment from leading manufacturers make it stand out as the best gaming hall in the city, according to the players from Belarus, Russia, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Latvia and other countries who visit it every week.”

The new installation in Minsk coincided with the casino’s first anniversary and means guests could enjoy the newly supplied 5 STORK terminals, connected to a Vega R8 automated roulette, and an additional automated Premier roulette centre.

EGT said that the installation marks the debut of the STORK product in Belarus, providing some variety to players as it allows them to bet on up to three different roulette wheels from a single gaming station. The SORK terminals feature user-friendly menus and show the real-time progress of the game at each of the wheels. The terminal also supports a fully electronic version of the locally popular blackjack. The multigame mix Rigel-1 is currently undergoing homologation, and will be able to offer more 20 different video slot titles from the STORK.

A spokesperson for Winbet said: “We knew that the STORK terminals would appeal to our customers, being an innovative solution, so we backed them up by a well-organised advertising campaign. We also expect that the available on the terminal blackjack will win a favourable reception from the local players. This game is traditional for the country and its electronic EGT version is just perfect for the avid fans.”

Boev added: “We are flattered that our partner Winbet has chosen our machines for the big surprise at the birthday party of its establishment in Minsk. It was an exceptional occasion for the STORK to be first tried out by the local gaming audience. The terminal received highly positive initial feedback and the good reviews have spread out quickly, attracting more and more new visitors to the casino.”

Totally Gaming Says: “It’s a good sign when a new casino is refreshing its offer after only a year and it is this attitude from Winbet that has no doubt helped its Minsk casino be so warmly welcomed by the community in so short a timepan. The Molnia M017 award is a good indication of the potential of these premises.”
