Gambling operator Rational Group, owner of gaming brands PokerStars and Full Tilt has announced two major changes to its senior management team.

The operator has appointed Israel Rosenthal as its new chief operating officer, replacing Rafi Ashkenazi, while Gino Appiotti has taken over from Alex Payne as chief marketing officer.

The company, which is a subsidiary of Amaya Gaming, said the promotions were decided following a management review, with the changes announced internally last week.

Appiotti, who has served for three years as president (Southern Europe) for Rational, will continue to work from the company’s Malta office, while Rosenthal will head up group operations from its Isle of Man headquarters.

Ashkenazi has moved to a new role within Amaya, while Payne has joined  the e-commerce giant Ebay Europe.
